This update is brought to you by the Neopets Metaverse Team. Let’s review the completed milestones of our journey so far and envision what 2023 has in store for the project.

Roadmap and Completed Milestones — where are we now and where will be headed?

The decentralized nature of Neopets Metaverse can give our players and creators a sense of freedom and confidence that is unavailable within the confines of traditional games. Therefore, by creating a blockchain game, we believe that Neopets Metaverse can bring to life a fun virtual pet game truly owned and governed by the community.

Prior up to 1Q22

Primary Neopets Metaverse Collection: Launch of the Neopets Metaverse Collection, minting over 4000+, our uniquely generated, loveable Neopets on the Solana blockchain. ✅

Listing on major marketplaces: Magic Eden, Solanart, Solsea (Fractal listed later) ✅

Game Visuals Sneak Peek: Provide the first look at 3D game models and design concepts. ✅

Introduction to Gameplay and Web3 elements: Introduce the basic gameplay and its related in-game blockchain elements. ✅

2Q22

Game Trailer: Release of the early preview trailer. ✅

Seed Round Funding ✅

Pizzaroo’s Unique Pizzas: Launch 5,000 unique Neopets-inspired pizzas on Solana, ranging from the most appetizing and scrumptious-looking to just downright weird! ✅

3Q22

Launch of Invite-Only Alpha: an exclusive invite-only multi-week game event open to players with the opportunity to explore parts of the Neopets Metaverse for the first time through 6 nostalgia-invoking experiences created by the Neopets Metaverse Team. ✅

Launch of Ambassador Program: provide some of our community’s most helpful, dedicated members with a pathway to assist in some key areas of the project. ✅

Release of Litepaper: Detailing the game, Web3 Integrations, tokenomics, and more. ✅

Mint of Masterpiece Collection: a collection of 1,000 unique and one-of-a-kind artworks to decorate your Neopets’ Neohome. ✅

4Q22

Launch of Invite-Only Alpha+: Follow-up update to our Invite-Only Alpha from 3Q22. ✅

Alpha Winter Edition Launch: New game features, including a new Land known as Terror Mountain, new Neopets species, and new mini-games. ✅

1Q23

Introduction of new Neopets species and items.

2Q23

Alpha 3 Launch: Third Alpha with social gameplay, including introducing 3x3 battle gameplay and other SocialFi features.

Alpha 4 Launch: Final Alpha with all on-chain features introduced, wallet sign-in, recognizing our NFT collections, etc.

Primary Land Collection: Launch of land plots in Neopia.

4Q23 and beyond

Major updates on a quarterly basis include but are not limited to:

Beta Launch: Full public launch (more details pending).

Mobile version of the game will be released concurrently with our Beta release.

Introduction of new Neopets species and items.

Introduction of new maps and land plots.

Introduction of mini-games and other gameplay elements.

Access to the allowlist of our token offering this summer.
Access to the allowlists of future NFTs, which will consist of wearables for Neopets, decorations for Neohomes, Land NFTs, and more!
Airdrops of tokens and/or NFTs that could be used as in-game items for Alpha as well as airdrops at later stages in the game’s development.
Exclusive in-game utility for NMC NFTs. This includes being able to use them as a displayable, in-game avatar that will be exhibited in gameplay (battle, mini-games, etc.) as well as being customizable with wearable accessories.
A displayable badge of honor for being an early supporter.
Early access into available game modes such as Neopets Metaverse invite-only Alpha release.
