GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome to the Neopets Metaverse Ambassador program! We are super excited to have you onboard!

Please note that ambassadors are not employees or official representatives of Neopets Metaverse or NetDragon.

With the influx of community-driven initiatives, we decided that we needed to develop a framework to empower community ideas to come to life and invite you all onto this journey alongside the team. The Ambassador program is for the most passionate members of our community that have been asking us for more ways to help build out the Neopian Community. With this program, you’ll be given the opportunity to play a bigger part in that journey together!

Types of Ambassadors:

Content Ambassadors
Community Translators
Event Coordinators
Neopian Council Program

Role Descriptions:

Content Ambassadors

Craft content (written, audio, images, etc.) that brings positive awareness to Neopets Metaverse.
Ideate campaigns, messaging, or new community engagement practices.
Publicize project events or in-game events.
Actively engage through social channels to promote content from/about Neopets Metaverse.
Be trusted with early-access content to give them insight into the trajectory of Neopets Metaverse.

Community Translators

Translate Neopets Metaverse-related materials, including:
Medium Articles
Social Media content
Announcements, AMA transcripts, and community functions.

Event Coordinators

Host contests, games, trivia, and community-centric events.
Participate in our Discord Town Halls/AMA sessions.
Collaborate to brainstorm on different engagement tactics for more community involvement.

Neopian Council

We are opening up an advisory panel for leaders of the Neopets.com community to voice their feedback in a formal process.
Once a month, we will host a 1 hour public discussion with the advisory panel
Give voice and represent the OG fanbase

Lead by Example

As a leader of the community, your actions and words will have weight in the community. Think “Is this really ok?”
Inspire the people around you and build trust between you and the community

De-Escalate

Treating each other with respect and patience and always de-escalate a situation before applying harsh punitive measures when possible.
Be tactfully and professionally to the community

Remember your position

Remember that as an ambassador, people will see you as an extension of the Neopets brand, so do not make any claims or even jokes regarding the future development of the brand without being clear that it is not an official stance. You should pass along any concerns people bring to you regarding the game to Neopets Meta staff or direct them to the appropriate feedback channel and make it clear that you are not part of the Neopets Metaverse Team.
When speaking with the Community, you are a leader and should represent the values of Neopets Metaverse. Our community will look up to you, and in return you should strive to be genuine, empathetic and compassionate.

Communicational guidelines:

Tone should be friendly, nurturing, and professional.
Avoid negativity and foul language
Game lore is welcome in a playful manner where and when appropriate.
