Neopets Metaverse Roadmap Update — November 2022
Neopets Metaverse priorities for the upcoming year.
Hello Neopians!
It’s been quite an eventful journey since our initial roadmap launch earlier this year. Thank you for being with us every step of the way. As we approach the end of the year, let us reflect on the milestones and lessons that came with it while looking forward to the bright future ahead of us.
2022 has been a productive year filled with exciting developments. We’ve made substantial progress such as quadrupling the size of our talented team, obtaining trustworthy investments (more details to come!), forming a stellar panel of advisors, and releasing our whitepaper. However, the ultimate highlight of our milestones has been the Alpha release, featuring the revitalized Mini Games, NeoHome, and Battledome. The upcoming updates are only going to get more exciting!
We’ve also organized successful community initiatives, including hosting the biggest GameFi Treasure Hunt in collaboration with Fractal and ten fellow blockchain game counterparts. Shortly after that, we celebrated “Disco Month” with Audius, the largest blockchain music platform, allowing our community to access Audius within the Neohome from Alpha 2 onwards. It was so much fun!
Nevertheless, one of the biggest questions within our community is a clear roadmap for the future of Neopets and what plans the team has installed to improve the project. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce an updated roadmap for the year ahead, outlining all the important milestones we’re driving to hit from this point forward.
4Q22 Alpha 2 Launch
Launch of Alpha 2 with new game features, including new land, new Neopets species, and new mini-games.
4Q22 Alpha 3 Launch
Final Alpha prior to the token offering, with on-chain features to be introduced to our Alpha platform, including wallet sign-in, recognizing our collections, etc.
2Q23 Token and Beta Launch
Considering recent market conditions, we’ve pushed back our token offering to Q2 as we aim to align ourselves for the next bull market cycle, followed by a public Beta launch.
3Q23 Primary Land Sales
Primary land sales of plots in Neopia. Introduction of 3x3 Battle gameplay and other socialfi features.
Ongoing!
We have more seasonal tournaments and the introduction of new gameplay elements, such as new Neopets species, Maps, Land, Minigames, etc.
Neopets Meta is ever-evolving, and we are working hard to fulfil this roadmap and successfully bring Neopets to web3. Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride. This is only the beginning!
