Meet the Neopets Metaverse Team: Zeke — Community Manager
Q: Could you please introduce yourself to the community? Tell us about your role and what you do?
Hey. My name is Zeke, and I’m the Community Manager for Neopets Metaverse. Basically, I serve as a bridge between our core team and the community, essentially giving you regular updates on the project’s development while relaying your feedback to the team.
Q: Can you tell us about your background and what brought you to Neopets?
I spent over a decade working in the interior design industry before switching to Web3. I was so impressed by the rapid development and consistent growth of the entire space that I didn’t hesitate to step out of my comfort zone and pursue a new career — something I would never regret!
Like most of us, I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember and used to play Neopets as a kid. Joining a household name like Neopets is truly a dream come true! I can’t wait to experience new adventures with the team and community.
Q: What do you find exciting about the Metaverse?
The opportunity to bridge communities and connect individuals inspires me the most! Good communication between a community and its creators is extremely important because both parties rely on each other to succeed. The feedback and ideas provided by the community help the creators develop the project in a way that meets the vision and expectations.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most at Neopets Metaverse?
As the game takes shape, I’m excited to continue building a great relationship with our community while providing quality content for them to enjoy. Really thrilled to brew something massive and unique for the Neopets anniversary as well!
Q: What advice would you give to someone that would be interested in working in the metaverse?
Always stay humble since the Web3 space grows rapidly, you will be learning every single day. It won’t hurt to be nice to everyone because you’ll never know when you might need their help. Lastly (and most importantly!) …you better start learning how to survive without sleep😪. Never a dull day in the Metaverse!
Q: What’s your favorite video game of all time?
FIFA, Battlefield, Grand Theft Auto, Dead Space, Pokemon, Animal Crossing
Q: How do you like to spend your free time?
I bring my doggos out for a run on the park or the beach, have a sip of hand drip coffee & whiskey, and play video games.
Q: Are you a dog person or a cat person?
Take a guess, I have three Mongrels.
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I should probably change my major to Architecture or something IT-related instead. I could’ve done more for the space.
Q: Neopets Metaverse is a global project with a multinational team, tell us where you’re from and what part of the globe are you in?
