Meet the Neopets Metaverse Team: Bob— Game Design Lead
Q: Can you introduce yourself to the community? Tell us about your role and what you do.
Hi. It’s me, Bob! I’m the Game Design Lead for Neopets Metaverse and I’m in charge of gameplay and ecosystem design.
Q: Can you tell us about your background and what brought you to Neopets?
I’ve got over a decade of experience in game development. I’ve worked on IP-licensed games and original IPs throughout my career. I came across Web3 a year ago, and from there, I got into Neopets, which is an excellent opportunity to apply my previous experience and newly acquired knowledge.
Q: What do you find exciting about the Metaverse?
With Metaverse being a young and developing concept, plenty of things related to it provide an interesting challenge. It is my pleasure to become a part of it and overcome these hurdles.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most at Neopets Metaverse?
I’m excited for the game to be complete and dished out to the masses. That is why I’m doing my best to help create a fantastic experience where all Neopets players can enjoy Neopia with their precious Neopets.
Q: What advice would you give to someone that would be interested in working in the metaverse?
Step into the Metaverse with a welcoming attitude. See, the public awareness and confidence of the Metaverse are still thin, so we must devote ourselves to educating people about the revolutionary potential of this technology.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to read reference books and play computer games.
Q: Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I love dogs. They’re so enthusiastic, loyal, and cute! I kind of match their energy.
Q: Neopets Metaverse is a global project with a multinational team; tell us where you’re from and what part of the globe are you in?
I was born, raised, and currently residing in Hong Kong.
